There is a reason that this book has endured for over 100 years. The traditional, small size is perfect for little hands. Children love it. My daughter is almost two and loves Peter Rabbit. And the illustrations are quaint. Beware of imitation and abridged copies (of which we were gifted a couple); they are most definitely not the same and usually sport hideous copies of the illustrations and strange manglings of the text.
I, for one, could stand to learn from Mrs. I remember loving Beatrix Potter's book The Tale of Peter Rabbit when I was a little girl, so it's fun to look at it again as an adult. Rabbit's unwavering patience with Peter -- especially in comparison to Mr. While it's true that the animals wear shoes and jackets (which is a little strange), I still love the mischievous Peter and his narrow escape from Mr. McGregor, whose garden he raids. As an adult, I have found even more to admire in this sweet little book. McGregor's terrible temper. And I hope my daughter takes a cue from Peter's love of veggies.Top that all off with the fact that the illustrations are delightful, no matter how many times we look at them, and this classic book remains one of our all-time favorites.
A very amazing book. Story is very easy to follow and clear. Simple to understand and the story is not too lengthy. Illustrations are really great and well rendered. After one hundred years, the book is still circulating. Great.
I ordered this book becauase I love Beatrix Potter. How annoying. However, I end up getting "three little pigs" in the mail. What is that about now. If I wanted that book, I would have placed an order for it. In the same order, I recieved a case of books I ordered only without the books.
This is a great story that is timeless and is a great gift with a great message for any child.
